MAC has extensive experience of working with schools and academies nationally providing construction and estates management advice from our seven offices including expert support in bidding for capital funds and successfully delivering the resulting projects.

We have particular expertise in the annual DfE Condition Improvement Fund. We have secured over £130m of funds for a wide range of heating, fire/electrical safety, window and roofing replacement and block refurbishment/new build schemes. In the latest 2021 round, we secured £40m for 61 projects – this was approximately 8% of the overall funding and 1% of the successful bids – demonstrating our expertise in securing funds for our academy clients.

Our work with larger MATs is extensive and we provide advice on the strategic distribution of School Condition Allocation. This includes the provision of robust condition survey data to ensure prioritisation and packaging of works to make best use of this capital funding stream.

We have a unique commercial model which is highly competitive compared to the marketplace with a wide network of recommended and approved contractors for the delivery of construction projects enabling us to get a good range of market prices and secure best value.

Our multi-disciplinary team covers all aspects of project delivery including Bid Production, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration/Employer’s Agent, Project Management, CDM/Health and Safety, and Clerk of Works. We deliver projects from the most local office to your school or academy, and we always assign experienced surveyors to your project.
